6 · Adjectives — describing things · a plain-language guide to Assyrian (Sureth) grammar

From Khan Ch. 6. Speaking value: HIGH — but it's a short, friendly chapter. An adjective ("big," "black," "new") does just two things you have to get right: it comes after the noun, and it agrees with that noun — a "he" ending for masculine, a "she" ending for feminine, one plural ending for more than one. Once you know a noun's gender (Ch. 5), the adjective almost writes itself. And a big chunk of everyday adjectives — mostly borrowed words — don't change at all, which makes life easier.

Grammar terms (adjective, agreement, masculine/feminine singular, attributive, suffix…) are explained inline the first time they appear and collected in "Grammar words in plain English."
